Today Lilli and I went for a walk while Les and the kids were in town birthday shopping for me. While we were walking, Lilli kept trying to climb the snow balls left on the side of the road from the snow plow. Some were as big as her, some were much smaller. She would climb over them holding my hand but sometimes she would let go and try to do it herself, but each time she would need to take my hand to get over the snowball. We were just about home when she tried to scale a snow ball as tall as she was, it was way to big to get over herself so she hung on to my hand for dear life and climbed that snowball. This reminded me of all the “mountains” that I face in life, all the troubles, trials and tribulations that I’m faced to “climb” and how God always has his hand out to help me, its always up to me to take it. There are many times, way more than I care to admit, that I try to do it myself, to make it up the mountain only to find that I just can’t, and all I need to do is just hold my heavenly fathers hand and I can scale anything! There is no mountain that I can’t climb.
”Then Jesus told them, “I tell you the truth, if you have faith and don’t doubt, you can do things like this and much more. You can even say to this mountain, ‘May you be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and it will happen.” (Matthew 21:21 NLT)
Thank God, that he is always willing to give us his hand!
