Free will……I read an article in the clarion about a homeless woman who lived and ultimately died under a bridge in Juneau after the tragic death of her husband, it sounds like many wanted to help her but she liked where she was at. It was a choice to stay where she was. When does one interfere in the free will of someone else? God gives us all a free will to do as we wish…..she helped others and loved others that found themselves homeless….maybe, just maybe that was God’s plan for her. Jeremiah 29:11 ”For I know that plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “they are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” While living under a bridge may seem hopeless to you or I, for this lady, it might have been her ministry….to show Christ’s love to those who thought they were unlovable, to give them hope for better days…..
Our free will isn’t always God’s will for us but sometimes when we line up with God’s will….our will takes us where God wants us to go.
