Numbers 6:24-26
“May the Lord bless you and protect you. may the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you. may the Lord show you his favor and give you his peace.”
I say this to my little girls at bedtime or nap time everyday. In fact they expect it, my version is a little different but the meaning is still the same. No matter how frustrated I am, sometimes at our house bedtime and nap time can be a battle of wills, anyway no matter the frustration, usually by the time I finish their blessing I have calmed down because I am speaking God’s word over them. I don’t want to speed through it or be angry while I’m speaking His word and He doesn’t want me to be either.
